The newly completed bikepacking route can be completed on its own in a day, but where's the fun in that?

Along the west coast of New Zealand’s south island is the Paparoa mountain range, a steep, rocky and very wet little corner of the earth. The Paparoa Track snakes through these mountains for over 32 miles, and connects the 48-mile Heaphy Track and the 52-mile Old Ghost Road. The Paparoa Track crosses two huts, offering bunks, burners and, most importantly, shelter. Between them are miles of carefully graded trail that are perfect for Kona’s Unit X fully rigid bikepacking bikes, put to expert use in this meditative video of the track. So, sit back, put on some headphones and enjoy. We dare you not to book a ticket when you’re done, or at least plan an overnighter in your local hills.
