If we’re talking about golden-hour footage of trail riding in a lush wooded environment, give me color. But if the subject is mirror-smooth monoliths of sculpted dirt and an athletes picture-perfect mastery over them, the stark simplicity of black and white just makes the whole experience feel that much more stylish. And on top of it all, this particular athlete is probably better known for his mastery over the chaos of World Cup downhill racing. Watching Carlos Langelaan flow effortlessly through an undisclosed location near Barcelona is quite the zen experience.
